Got to wait to see what my travel schedule is for work this year...then I'll vote. Hopefully I can make this one!
 
I bid for vacation (for the year) in two weeks... I have R-day's in Apr/May and June... (off Apr 28th - May 2nd and June 9th - 13th)
I will need to take an additional day off (bid) for the Sunday of the weekend of the event IF it falls on one of my Rday weeks.
If not I have to bid on the duty days that fall on the event dates.

Pretty simple so far...

So since I have a Thursday R-day... and I return on a Sunday....forcing me to bid a day off regardless... it would be better for me to bid say a Friday...giving me 5 days off from Wed to Sun.

This is on a 24 hour on and 48 hour off schedule.







































All I am saying...if we can nail a date down, I will bid on it, and see if I can get the time off. I got two weeks.:p :p :D

This is in order...my vote is wrong.


"DISCLAIMER" I also have to contend with Hurricane season.
I am on the Task Force...so I will be going.

1) may 27th to 31
2) june 3rd to 7th
3) june 10th to june 14th
4) may 20th to 24th (need 2 shifts)

guys we need some more input, otherwise it will be a coin toss;)

looks like the three weeks are running neck and neck and we want to be fair to everyone,

even if you are not sure of a weekend, vote anyway the best you can, that will give us an idea
 
Guys, rates at the Moonspinner go up $80/day or $400/week for a 2br, $150/day or $825/week for a 3br on the 23rd of May. I think it would be best if we try to do it the week before the rates go up, or see if they will extend the lower rate if we begin our stay before the 23rd. That would mean we have to go May 20-24. Worst case scenario if we use the first week in the poll we only pay the additional $$$ for 1 day.
I vote for the 20th to 24th.
Since I'll be starting a new career in Feb., I need to let them know ASAP what days I'll need.

What's the winning date so far? I can't see it cause I don't wanna vote yet. I am not sure when I'll be on US soil.. I don't wanna screw myself..
 
I'd love to go, but won't be able to get the vacation myself. With getting back from Iraq in March, they won't let me take a second vacation so soon after block leave.

If I were to go I think I would fly this time.. I learned from the last two SE GTG's that it's more about friends than the tens.. That night at Bone's house in Macon the trucks sat on the other side of the house away from everyone else spending time together. In Panama City the fun was at the pool and in the parking lot just being together and BS'in..

More like saving 1800 miles OF drivng to get there and back. I'd rather spend the extra time relaxing and sucking down some suds.. But my position on all of that may change..

Yeah I took a shot in the dark.. Literally I closed my eyes and clicked.. which ended up bringing June 3rd to the 7th up to 5..
No skin off my nose;
Whatever the date the closer it grows.
Have no fear for if I am here, I will there;
I will have a beer then :dontknow: I will not see so clear.
But be aware, if there are no rains, and the weather stays fair;
I'll accept a dare to run around the pool... in my Hanes underwear..:D
