Just wanted to let all yall know that I am in the middle of orgainizing a local car show. I plan on holding it as the "1st Annual VTCOA car show".
It will be in the Shreveport/Bossier area. I have a local BBQ joint that is going to let me hold it in their parking lot, I have a local vendor that is going to sponsor all the banners/flyers/handouts. The resturant owner is working on building a pavilion to house music and the plan is to have Frank Foster(New Musician) play at the festival. As for the car show I plan on paying out for Best Overall Car. The payout will be 50% of the entry fees, so the more cars the higher the payout. Im working with some local buisnesses, to help donate goodies to give away as prizes. I will have several classes but do not plan on going over board with the classes. Prob only a handful of classes, and the best of each class judge for best overall. I will give prizes to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Best overall car. Trophies will be awarded for the other classes. I would love to have a strong pressence of SRT10's so if any of yall are going to be close toward the end of Aug early Sept. Please let me know. WOULD love to have our Vendors recognized and represented at the show if you guys can do anything that would be awesome.

If any of you guys have ideas let me know. Again im counting on a lot of yall to show up. I will shore up the dates as I am meeting with the BBQ owner next week.

Thats pretty ballsy to name it after the viper trucks cause I think were the only two on the forum in this area and the nearest other trucks are hours away in texas. I think iv seen about 4 others in our area but not active on the forum. I guess we could just chase them down witch pitch forks when we see em

I should be home around then, will try and make it. Truck should be finished by then too, so that would work out.

Hey man not being a dick here but what if you pull this whole thing off and call it the VTCOA Show and theres only a few 10's there? Sure wont make the club look to great

If you build it they will come

Just throwing this out there…I helped organize a few shows in Myrtle Beach and when we got any kind of local charity involved we always had amazing turn outs, and churches…churches are full of members who are a little bit older and have bad ass hot rods. just my 0.02 cents ;)

Thanks for the ideas, I've organized several major events and when I do it I do it big. This show will be legit ;)

Go For It......

Ignore the nay sayers

I agree with Chris about church sponsorship. I attend a few shows thru church's and they do get a big crowd and amazing rides. Last one in August we did attracted something like 400 cars/trucks/bikes. Even took best of my class for the truck.
