We had such a great time today (despite the weather outside) that I thought a holiday picture thread with the members here would be fun....or insanely silly with massive amounts of post whoring. 
Though we're not *real* Columbus Blue Jackets season ticket holders (we only do the "1/2 season" plan), we were invited to the 2007 Holiday Skate at Nationwide arena today:
Yep...got to skate on the same ice as all the NHL players!
It was very cool to skate where my favorite players have...Sakic, Foote, Blake, Hejduk, Forsberg. Gives ya that warm-fuzzy feeling inside.
We got there about the same time as CBJ defenseman Adam Foote arrived.
OF COURSE I had to get a pic with him....
AWESOME!
We BS'd a little about his days with the Avalanche, and how great he's been for/with the CBJ....
It takes a brave soul to wear an Avs jersey to a CBJ event. LOL But when folks saw the name on the back, they all backed off.
Adam was very personable and posed for dozens of pics. And some with the other people there too. LOL
(The ol' "Look! It's Rick Nash!" trick only worked a couple of times.)
The CBJ mascot, Stinger, was in full Santa gear and cruising around the ice.
I got a pic of Rachel with Santa Stinger:

The event at Nationwide was very cool and lots of fun, esp. for the kids. They did a nice job with it.
On the drive back, we hit the Easton mall to see the reindeer that were part of the holiday "thing" at the mall.
It might have been the weather, but they weren't especially active:
There were 2 whole reindeer there.
Rachel was expecting a herd.
(I didn't have the heart to tell her that, while real caribou, these weren't *real* reindeer. If anyone knows the type of deer these are, please PM or email me)
During the drive from the mall to the house, my little brother called and said he's trying to get time off of work (Navy) to come out for a few days just before Christmas.
Good thing I've got more hockey tickets!
