Warning...Read this if you have Bassani Headers...

Bassani does not supply gaskets with their headers, they reuse the stock gaskets in most cases. I have worked with Todd at Bassani in Anaheim Ca. fitting exhausts on the Dodge Rams.
I have had three Ram trucks with Bassani headers and never had a heat issue with any of them.....remember lean tuning will melt an exhaust system.

I am am sorry but I have to totally disagree...The Bassanis come with gaskets...they will not work on the Ram SRT10 but they do ship with gaskets as mine and many others here did..

Sorry to hear about your problems........Did you call or inform Bassani that the supplied gaskets do not work? Please give Todd O'Neill, Director of Product Development (714 630 1821 [email protected]) a call and explain the problems you have had. Please let me know the results of your complaint.

Thanks

I think everyone here that has bought the Bassanis got some paper gaskets with them...they do not even come close to fitting...and the instructions tell you to use the OEM gaskets........while I think they should have supplied the correct gaskets I am not dissatisfied with the headers and dont feel a complaint is warranted..:dontknow:

Why won't the gaskets work?

it is because the holes coming out the heads for exhaust holes are not round as the header gasket is ,,,,what happens is the gasket that covers the bottom of the holes is so thin there it takes no time to blow out and cause a leak on the bottom side of headers,,,i trimmed the top of my gaskets to move it up a bit but there is only so much to trim before bolt hole wont line up ...when eye balling mine there are like small tabs right below head deck that wont let the gasket go any higher up to fit better ,i took a dremel and ground spots down on gasket ,,,it worked too at idle but, i got on it a few times then i popped hood and could hear small leaks coming from the side i used the paper gasket ,,the side i reused oem metel gasket is on the money honey ,,

i dont understand why they did not shape header holes the same as exhaust port holes are ,,the header hole overlaps the exhaust port holes ,,,but after talking to others with gibsons and others with headers ,,non of them match the heads exhaust port holes exactly,,so crust of story ,,save yourself a headacke reuse oem metal gasket,,i will take a pic this afternoon and post it ,,after i redo my right side and reinstall oem
