What kits are you guys running? and what do you think would be the better bang for the buck bigger Heat Exchanger or Water/Meth injection?

I have Roe's meth kit.....wouldnt trust any other......there is not an inter cooler for the Roe SC but if I had a Paxton I probably go with the cooler....no fluids to buy..

Yeah, I thought about adding it but the ROE needs to be installed with the VEC, and I really don't want to buy a VEC just to run the ROE kit.
 
I HAVE THE SAME TRUCK IN RED. I RUN A PAXTON WITH LARGER INNERCOOLER AND METH INJECTION. THE METH INJECTION RAISES THE OCTANE FOR A MORE RADICAL ADVANCE. I JUST DID A 12.9 SEC RUN AT 115 MPH IN 110 DEGREE HEAT ON CALIFORNIA SPEEDWAY. I BLEW OUT MY DUMP VALVE SO I WILL BE UPGRADING THAT. WANT TO RACE? I AM LOOKING FOR PEOPLE TO START A DRAG RACE CLUB IN SOUTHERN CAL. WE CAN RENT CALIFORNIA SPEEDWAY(DRAG STRIP) FOR THE DAY ONCE A MONTH OR SO AT $4000. ANYBODY INTERESTED EMAIL ME AT [email protected]
 
I have the option to set up my FJO set up to sequentially fire an injector ahead of the supercharger, then the second ahead of the TB once the first reaches 100% duty cycle, or link both to fire in tandem. We'll try it both ways on the dyno to see which is most effective.

DC Performance provides the injector in their air intake kit so the water/meth helps keep the supercharger cool under high load. I chose to add a second figuring that enough cooling effect would be lost once the air had passed through the intercooler that I could achieve maximum cooling by hitting it again just before the intake.

Nope..no VEC needed...I have the Roe SC and SCT flashed PCM with Roe's new meth injection....I think Marc and I are the only ones so far...maybe 1 or 2 others..:dontknow:

OOOOHHHHH!!! I did not know they had a new Water/Meth Kit. How much did it set you back if you don't mind me asking? PM if you don't want to post it publicly.

Yep, it is a stand alone set up. Sean explained to me how it is triggered,hooked up but I can't remember exactly what he said. I believe it is wired into one of the fuel injector wires? Maybe he will chime in??

I now have an on/off switch in the cab, I just flip the switch when I am gonna play!!:D

I do not know what Sean charges for the whole system. I only bought the parts needed to convert from the VEC to stand alone since I already had the pump and other hardware. He charged me $45 for the conversion kit.

I have mine wired into an injector to pulse it.

I think I'm going to go through the boost rather taping into the injector. Thanks for the input.

The ROE is out.

You might talk with Sean first...I cant remember for sure but I think you have the option to use boost or injector and it is adjustable. As good as Roe's after the sale service is I would not rule the Roe unit out before speaking with him.
 
Well looks like I've made my choice after spending countless hours researching this subject.
All of the Water/Methanol kits were pretty much the same all using the progressive style computer, all have 150 psi pump, and all use pretty much the same style nozzle with the exception of the FJO Water/Meth Kit. What sets the FJO kit apart from the others is that they use a solenoid in conjuction with their nozzle that produces and ultra fine mist that atomizes much better than the kits that do not use the solenoid.

You won't be disappointed. Be sure to buy the inline filter to maintain that fine mist.;)
