On the last run I dropped the psi down to 14 and the tire spun 1/4" on the rim....is that a big deal or about right....???

1/4"? you need some real torque to get that tire slipping on the wheel

What Jack said. You need to screw the tire to the rim. You do not want it moving on the rim, period.

Viper777 yep running Caltracs and I preload the Crap out of them...1 full turn past contact....
So I bought the Moroso rim screws today will get them on in the A.M......
