OK....lets get this outta the way....I dropped my truck off the jack.....AGAIN..... ...FFFFFFFF.......the damn pit area is on a hill......no damage.............didn't come all the way....

They had zero track prep...ZERO......which was fun when a 7 second chopped nova lined up....:D ....he made three hops and missed the wall by 4 inches.....the best save I have ever seen.....the guy had to change his drawers....WWG won 2 bucks on that bet.....

As far as my truck....ran 12's (uncorrected) all night 4 runs temp was in the 90's at 2700'.....last run I got out of the throttle an coasted through the traps at 92mph and still ran a 12....

New slicks are a pain....60's were 2.1 then 2.0 then 1.9 then 1.8......they are ready for Saturday....

On the last run I dropped the psi down to 14 and the tire spun 1/4" on the rim....is that a big deal or about right....???:D

1/4"? you need some real torque to get that tire slipping on the wheel:D

What Jack said. You need to screw the tire to the rim. You do not want it moving on the rim, period.

Very true. I had the slicks on my race car screwed to the rims and after the season un-mounted them and found that the slicks still spun about an inch and a half!:burnout: Was puting down some serious torque on my launches. but then, launching a 383 Demon at a hair over 4 grand will do that:rock: Pull the fronts a bit too:burnout:

So screw the tires and get some track prep. Can't wait to see how you do next!

BTW 100% of the trucks at the track tonight were wingless....:D
I got side tracked and couldn't make it out there, or there would have been one out there with a WING!

Quick

I have the tires on my Duster screwed to the rims. It needed this done.

Thats awesome man! Is it hard to control goin down the track?

Running on 31.5" tall slicks takes some getting used to especially with radials on the front.....the truck gets nice and floaty that last couple hundred feet....I just keep a very light touch on the wheel and let her float across the line....

Viper777 yep running Caltracs and I preload the Crap out of them...1 full turn past contact....

So I bought the Moroso rim screws today will get them on in the A.M......
