Ok guys so my Father in law can weld and has a welder. When I was talking about what I wanted done for my exhaust he said "Heck I can do that here in the driveway." I just want to cut the rear cats and the rez out. What type of pipe would we have to use? I know they have the "exhaust" piping at Autozone and some other auto stores but it seems thin for it but of course I don't have anything to compare it too. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Personally, If i was you i would NOT use the autozone piping, the sound will be different, you want to get some good stainless steel high grade piping, so the sound is nice and not tingy, the only time i ever used auto zone piping was to just see how i wanted the exhaust to sit, but use the high grade stuff! not the autozone shit :p

Is he a good welder or someone who can weld? There is a big difference between the two.

Well he's an awesome welder.... he made this from a picture and a afternoon at work after my better half kept hitting stuff for her Birthday.

That's what I was thinking

Why not go to your local muffler shop and but pipe?

I didn't know if you could do that haha.... I figured it would be like most shops around here, if you don't buy it from here we don't put it on or vise versa. I guess I should make some calls.
