Well it happened...............

as stated, l am sorry for Mike's situation, and l don't think l was pushy or anything in discussing the possible sale with him. Hopefully this deal will be a good step in the right direction, albeit a painful separation.
on the flip side, l have purchased a pretty badass truck, and look forward to progressing with it. l have a few little things l'd like to do, (Lazerlite painted bedcover, possibly replacing rear rims as they have a little curb rash) and will be forging the internals eventually, hopefully on my schedule and not because of necessity, most likely after Thanksgiving or so when it's starts getting cold again. l just got word the truck will be here Sat am, and heard from Mike it was a bitch and a half loading onto carrier, so l can only imagine it will be worse getting it off, lol.
Thanks for all the welcoming words, and Stinker, l need to order some of the oil 'cooler' lines, so let us know when the price on the site is fixed.

Hi all,
l'm the guilty party that has purchased Mike's ride. l've spoken with Mike several times over the last month or so obviously, and understand his situation. l also relayed to him several times and in several ways that l had mixed feelings about buying the truck, because l knew he really wanted to keep it and try to work through his situation. l'm sure no one will bear ill will towards me, as it's quite obvious Mike has been an integral member of the VTCOA, and l only hope his pain dissipates quickly and he can resume trolling the boards and posting to all of his friends. l work an awful lot, and will never be able to post as much as he, however, l'll be full of questions, and as time progresses, maybe l can start offering useful input to others. One word of mention, please don't label me as having money; l don't. l have bought an extremely nice truck, yes, but it did come at a extremely signifigant and personal cost to me. l do work two fulltime jobs, and am married with 3 young girls. Anyone else living in NY will empathize will me knowing what the taxes are here. l would have left long ago if l'd realized how expensive it is here, however l work for a civil service job, and would lose all my retirement time and all that if l left now.
on the other hand, still waiting for truck to be delivered, so hopefully Saturday, l hear... BG

Welcome Bill!

Thanks for helping Mike with his issue. I know the truck very well and have the highest possible respect for the first owner Randy.

I think you have purchased one of the really fine SC's around.

I implore you to consider forged pistons and rods at your first opportunity. Our experience has sent shivers up our spines...relating to forced injection and stock pistons...lots of threads for you to review here.

Welcome again, and we look forward to your contributions to the family!

P.S. Some of us have addressed the curb rash issue with the PermaStar process from Goodrich...provides a nice chrome finish rather than the polished alum...and the process uses a base coat that fills and smooths rash before the bright stuff goes on!

I figure I better just get this outta the way now, Have sold my baby, my dream. Another member here has purchased her from me and we are on the final details now. As for me I just want to thank you all for the great times on this forum. I will not be around much anymore due to how devastated and upset this forced sale has made me. It nothing to do with anyone on here, I just dont want to see another viper truck for a long time due to how hard I worked to reach this and to lose it, all to soon. Im going to focus on other things right now as this has really hit me hard. I tried every possible way not to get to this and sadly had no options left. Please do me a favor all: keep the light on, maybe some day I might get lucky again and have my dream back. Until then I cant stomach looking at all of your beautiful trucks for a while.

To me this was not my toy but a symbol of hard work and dedication I went for, with that being shattered my pride has suffered a fatal blow not easily healed. My dream is still alive but to ever attain it again is going to be close to impossible anytime soon especially with my current future ahead of me and everything else involved. Thank you all and I just wanted to say good bye for now cause I cant bare to be here for now.:(

A few special good byes for those who know who you are............

Now make getting one back a GOAL:rock: As time goes on they will become more affordable also. I went through the same thing many years ago with a Porsche 911, 5 years later I bought a better one for cash:D

Stay safe
