After owning my truck for over two months and enjoying it.... well im addicted.

Now the issue is.... well... never enough. My brother has an 03 viper srt10 with some mods and I think its time to go big or go home with the ram!

I want to get fully forged internals, built heads, big cam, maybe supercharged, built trans, and so forth. I want to start to make a beast!

What has everyones outcomes with performance mods, aka, NA and FI. I really just want to push everything to the limit, granted money is the only issue but I plan on keeping this truck forever. I plan to keep everyone interested on mods and updates to the truck. I have a local performance shop that builds lots of motors and cars that will be helping with build.

since you are startin out with a great foundation, forged short block, ya can go nasty any way ya want, N/A of F/I.

There's a saying that holds true for all motors. "Build it once build it right" start at the bottom of the engine and work your way to the top then no matter how crazy you go your motor can handle it.

Or you can bolt on a 100 shot for like $1200 bucks and call it a day.

I want to build it and do it right so I dont have to refill a nitrous bottle all the time. Rather just have 100+ hp all the time :)
 
As some members on here have found, if you port the heads and go with a Paxton setup you will likely outflow the Paxton, so if you go the route of the ported heads, then you might look at a turbo or ProCharger setup. Others will chime in with more technical details.
 
Just noticed I spelt official wrong on the topic title ha... fail.

Going to start work on the tranny next week!
