One of the senior managers that is already back there asked if I wanted to transfer, but I had to decline. My wife refuses to move until her parents pass on. Her father passed away last August, but her mom is still doing well, so I'm stuck here.

I feel your pain. My wife is the same. FIL passed away in Oct. a year ago and MIL is living with us. We aren't going anywhere.
