what 2 use to take the emblems off

Dental floss...after that some goo-gone or wd-40 to remove the adhesive! Clean it up, wash it down and apply sum wax to the area!!

if you use the wax coated floss you can skip the wax coat-----thanks craig I was wondering how it was done to

I used 50-lb fishing wire to remove the emblems, then used some 3M adhesive remover (bought at pepboys). Pretty easy, emblems come off easier if they are in the sun.

Heat gun, get the emblem off, then 3M adhesive remover for the backing=No scratches, then re-wax and be happy.

This time of year here in Phx we simply face the said emblem towards the sun. Wait 4-5 min and a simple pull with finger and thumb and it will come right off... Having a black truck makes it even easier....damn things just fall off!

removal

Roflmao Chuck -- brings back memories bro!

A few of you will understand this. If you use fishing braid rather than monofiliment you will have a much easier time. The mono breaks easily, and if you use heavy mono, it has a large diameter. The advantage of using braid is that it is very strong, but has a very small diameter. It cuts the adhesive much better than anything else. I also use 3m Adhesive Remover and a blow dryer.

Caution...on the 04 the hood emblem is on an outlined pad...be sure your new emblem will cover the pad...in other words if you are taking the Ram off the hood of an 04 you will need to replace it with something...
