Thursday morning I woke up and just knew that I needed to get out of the house and get the bike rolling along. Figured I would take a short putt, maybe head down towards the beach. Well, I hopped on the 15 north and just kept going till I got up around Victorville, where I jumped on the 395. (BTW Wifey and Jerry, there is a nice looking Lil Red Express for sale right there on the 395, I highly suggest you go buy it LOL). It was a pretty windy day around these parts, ran across a total of 3 big rigs lying on their sides, 2 Crystal Geyser trucks almost within eyesight of their terminal. So needless to say it was pretty exciting keeping the bike upright and going straight hehe. They were making high profile vehicles get off the 395 and park and the Caltrans guy suggested that I do the same, but c'mon now hehe. Got up to Lone Pine and it was starting to get a bit cold so I decided to head towards the low desert and Death Valley. Now, if anyone has ever been on the road from Lone Pine to Death Valley you know if has some of the best scenery around, as well as some real twisties. But, there is also some real fine sand within the first 10 miles or so, and with the winds it looked like a snowstorm. I couldn't even see the surface of the road 50 feet in front of me. That was different hehe. Anyway, made it down past Death Valley and went into Baker, then headed back towards home. I'm not really sure why I didn't just roll into Vegas, hell I was only 60 miles away. All in all a great day, just around 600 or 700 miles I believe. It wouldn't be a bad trip in the truck either.

Too cool. I like doing that once in awhile (in truck or car though) just to clear my head, I don't think there's anything more theraputic.

Sounds like an awesome ride!!

Aren't you concerned about all of the sand? I would be worried that it was messing with the paint, and getting into the "parts".
