Nope no warning i drove most of my 25 mile trip to school in 4hi and then turning into the parking lot it went bang in a big way

Damnit Keith!! That bites. :(

Under warranty! parts are coming i may have it back tomorrow they said that the retainer clip on the half shaft failed??:dontknow:

No idea about the part that failed. But a retaining clip you would think would be pretty heavy duty so this doesn't happen again.

NOICE!

Remember the conversation we had with the guy up there about clean vs. dirty vehicles? "Some guy will bring in his Jeep covered in 500 lbs. of mud....not even attempt to rinse it off..."
That's you now.
:D

What ever man:D :D :D

Oh and im so scared because i asked them if the drop had anything to do with it and im being told by them and the guy who put it on (who i trust1000%) that the drop had nothing to do with it. but the dealer then said but if it happes again then we know what caused it:dontknow: :dontknow: :dontknow: isent that bull? im so scared to put it in 4WD again:(

Keith- how many times has it been in 4WD before?

I think that a simple clip failure would be very difficult to trace back to a suspension drop.
The 4WD (in conjunction with that clip) needs to work properly throughout a certain amount of travel that the suspension gives it. Simple 4WD operation on paved streets shouldn't be enough to cause full suspension travel in either direction.
My guess is that the clip just failed/broke.
