im not a puter guy but ive been looking at BMW's on ebay, and i got this sent to me? there is know link to ebay, but i opened my junk mail to see this:dontknow: im kinda thinking i should not have! anyway here is the copy and paste from my email, and it did show a pic but i dont think you guys can see it?:dontknow: Hi

Sorry for the late response; something came up and I had to leave urgently on a business trip. I don't have my cell with me, I could try calling you if there's any need, but it's best for me to email you from my laptop. I wanted to let you know that the car is still available; I had a buyer offering $9,800 but his loan did not get approved. Although I am not home, we can still make the deal through eBay.

I am selling the car for $9,500. The 2005 BMW X5 looks like new, it has never been scratched or wrecked. It will come with a clear title, bill of sale signed by me as well as all the papers (including the original manuals and keys) that you will need to register it under your name. This is what I've got from the divorce settlement, and now I want to sell it because I don't have much use for it and I could use some quick cash right now, rather than waiting for a better offer (selling takes a lot of time too... and time is money). So I'm willing to let it go for $9,500 and since I only have one BMW, first come, first served.

Although I am not home, we can still make the deal through eBay. Shipping is already paid, as I explained, my buyer changed his mind after I have made the arrangements to ship the car. The trucking company would not refund me but can ship the car to anywhere within continental US, so I've left it at their warehouse and it's ready to ship at anytime. Also, eBay's purchase protection guarantees that the car is exactly as I described; basically, once delivered, you'll have 3 days to inspect it at your home and if you decide not to keep it you will get refunded in no time and they will charge me with the return costs.

I've attached a few pictures of the car and here is a short description: BMW X5, Year: 2005, Miles: 28,978, Engine Size: 3.0L, Title: Clear, Exterior: White.

Let me know if you're still interested.

Thanks,
cornpala

Any Ideas?:dontknow: thanks for any help!!!!!!

This sounds way too good to be true. My guess would be this is half of it's book value? If you really want a bimmer bad enough I would consider trading my M3 for your 4wd dodge but you would have to throw in your Michael Jackson thriller jacket to seal the deal!

SCAM for sure.
But you can play along for the time being and report it to ebay afterwards;)

In every instance in my mind if it sounds too good to be true...it is. You will lose your money. Forward the email to your state attorney. Hell he could donate it to a charity and get the retail value as a tax deduction...I've done that three times.

Reply back and ask for the link on ebay. I bet the response will not have one or have an excuse why there is no link. Scam, scam, scam. Have you made any bids for a BMW? That might be how they got your email.
