What does 642rwhp get you with a Ford

I got a guy at work that has one. He just did a upper and lower pulley swap and a tune. 398 rwhp and 478 rwtq. I watched him pull a 13.2 in september of this year. He has no intake or exhaust work done. But he did lock up the tranny and replaced it with a 2800 stall and shift kit....... i think a 2800 stall???

Probably like $10,000:dontknow:

No, he's probably around $20,000, with the tranny and motor. And probably a little more with extra components.

A great deal for the speed that you get. But I have had both a Harley Truck and 2 SRT-10's; I could have bought whatever I wanted. However, you see what I'm driving now.

I was just saying with go fast mods, and maybe like stall, and upgraded trans pan only for tranny work. You can't beat the way these trucks look inside and out, and sound:burnout: .

ok does it bother anybody else that that thing is running 10's and well with all the highly modded trucks on here we see little to nothing?

I'd be willing to bet that truck is running more hp than that. Hell my full weight Camaro would need close to 600hp to run in the 10's with slicks on.

Nope! I'm very familiar with his engine set-up (I had something similar) and his numbers are actually stronger than most.

However, please note that this is a 2000 Harley truck (extended cab) with a built 2002 motor transplant. The truck probably weighs around 5000lbs, so a little lighter than a true 4 door Harley Truck.

Most builds such as his make around 600, and run 11's fairly easy.

i would bet some money that he has more power than that. that weight is very comprable to our QC. he has atleast 800 or so to put him in that 10.9 range

5000lbs with 642rwhp should put him around a 11.5:dontknow: but the 1/4 mile calculators aren't always right I guess. Fast truck:burnout:

Our QC's are well north of 5000lbs. I believe that the Ford Tranny's are a lot more efficient than ours, and therefore, produce better times with similar HP numbers. This truck is NOT making 800! Although the owner would like it too. I'll see if I can find the dyno video.

That's much lighter than I expected. Hell my Camaro I mentioned weighs just north of 4k lbs with me (200 lbs) in it.

Yeah our quad cabs are HEAVY at around 6k lbs. Also our converted diesel transmission is a power killer and the D60 rearend is about the most parasitic there is.

Outnumbered, do you know anything about the suspension setup on that truck? I'm guess still leaf sprung but what about the front end? Ladder bars in the back?

I don't think he has anything too elaborate on the suspension.

I did find his dyno chart:

Here's an idea for someone. Fab a coupler to join the Viper motor and a Ford 4R100.
