In general terms what happens if the gap on the spark plug is too small or big?

It could cause poor ignition...but you would probably feel the missing...the problem you discovered a couple of months ago is still of concern to me...that closed plug...could have come from some sort of impact...I would also check with Sean before you regap the plugs...he would be sure to check plug gap during the tune he did on your engine.

I have had this problem with closed plugs... but when it happened i was hauling my camping trailer, the NGK plugs just don't seem to like a heavy load on the engine. I make sure to carry extras and to pull ALL plugs after i tow and to pull at least a couple per side after driving hard or going to the track.

Thanks!!! I changed my plugs yesterday and they were all about .5-.8 to large. I was wondering if that would affect my HP?
you dont mean .5 of an inch do you?
since you have a turbo, gap them at .035"

Sean didn't check the gap. His tune was more of a "Get it running normal" kind of tune.
