how do you view who's online?
go to the main page down at the bottom where it says online users click on that and shows what everyone is doing thats where i saw yahoo slurp spider, I know about web crawlers that search web sites but I don't think thats what it is.?

I know it made me look like an a-hole. It looks like you gave me the directions and I said "nevermind". Thanks!

Someone is sending them here and searching for specific text the only way they search the site is someone is directing them here with text input. What are they looking for? I don;t trust any of that shit, just an innocent verison of big brother.

I think it is a web bot ....... search spider, I think it's all the same (It bit Roz on the leg and arm, so watch out) !! ;)

Not necessarily true.

Webcrawlers like that are part of the search engine. When you register a site with a search engine, the crawler searches the site for "Tags" (keywords) and uses that and the site map to make the site easier to search for. These also help the site move up in ranking, meaning it shows up toward the top of the list when you do a search for it on that search engine.

now I know they are full of shit with there answer by yahoo, because I just checked again and it said they where searching user profile. so it is not just websites linked to the web crawler they are searching for specific text other wise why would it be viewing members profiles?

It will crawl the entire site, according to the site map that was submitted to the search engine.
