A lot of you probably clean your truck any chance you get...so I'm sure many of you have used several different wheel cleaners..I used to use the Meguiar's Hot wheels spray for chrome rims but this is the first time with polished wheels and I don't want to ruin them with the chrome spray...any suggestions? :dontknow: :burnout: :dontknow: :burnout:

soap and water...and if you want to get into detail...Wax'em!!

I know Stinker mentioned something that he uses for the inside of the wheels. He wont share what it is.

mine are clearcoated inside and out (from the factory). just about any reputable brand that says "safe for clearcoat" will do. also you can mix up some simple green,a little goes along way.;)

Let me know if you can...i wrecked my hands last week trying to clean the inside if those wheels...when I used the meguiars spray on the chrome I never had to touch it by hand and it got every little spec of grime off....I'm looking for the same method and same results:rock:

Your polished rims are powdercoated from the factory. Treat them as you would your paint. If mine won't clean with regular soap/water I'll break out my Wax/Grease remover. You can pick this up at any automotive paint supplier. Ask for their house brand. Comes in gallon quantity. Safe for all finishes including bare aluminum. Wipe on wipe off ease of use even with road tar.

My wheels have become very dull and not as shiny as they first were. They still have the clearcoat on them but the wheel degreaser from the car washes have kinda dulled them out. Can they be saved?

50/50 mix of simple green and hot water works awesome on the stock wheels and insides...since i have permastar rims now i just use soapy water.:p

Let me re-phrase. I have the stock polished aluminum wheels that have the clearcoat on them.

Simple Green/ hot water mix in a spray bottle...works awesome, works on the brake calipers at the same time
