Mine is that I was such a f*ck up in high school.

Some here know that I did not even make it through my first year in HS. We came to an agreement that if I left, they would not prosecute.

If I had it to do over again, I would have finished HS, gone on to college, and then medical school. I have always, even as a child been interested in how the human body functioned. Two fields really interested me, and I'm sure I would have ended up in one of the other.

Surgery. To me that is like being an engine builder. Taking something apart, fixing it, and then putting it all back together again.

Emergency Room. I really think this is where I would have ended up. I love challenges and being under intense pressure. I seem to be at my best when I'm going 100MPH with my hair on fire.

As it is, my life has not turned out to bad, considering the rocky start that I got. But that is my greatest regret.

I never learned how to handle money..as a result I have none..lol
I stopped playing guitar regularly..I coulda been GREAT..instead of ok..
I passed on dating girls who were actually pretty nice people..Why drive a Ford Focus when you can have a Viper?
I didnt keep tabs on my health..Its way easier to gain 80 lbs than it is too lose it..probly more fun too..
I didnt speak my mind more when I was younger..

How am I doing?

Quite possibly could end up being the move to NY, may be the right thing to do but I challenge you to care for someone with Alzheimers at 93

Life has it's challenges, and it's rewards. I cannot help but believe you will be rewarded for this act of kindness.:congrats:

there are things that i have regretted at times (like sleeping with the youth pastor's wife, who was also the senior pastor's daughter...during the time that my father was the associate pastor)...but it seems that even the most terrible situations that cause the most grief at the moment have the largest long term effects...on many things: religion, complacency, the ability to love and be loved...so on...

i am also 3 years into full-time self employment...so at the time, i cannot say if i regret this decision...yes, it has its ups...and when it's up...it's really up...but when it's down...it's buried deep....only time will tell...

barely finishing high school, not going to college, while my brother just graduated this year suma cum laude...

he has a jazz fusion band that he plays the sax...i gave up trumpet after 10 years...and i was really good...for no reason...who knows...i could have been in the band...

the bottom line to me...is a regret is past...which you cannot change...call them experiences, call them mistakes; you can only learn from them...i feel it is what you do with that info that makes people better (or worse)...if you stay hung up on the past, you will never know how much you could apply yourself in the future, imho

I am living my regret right now...not doing as well as I have in the past....thus, I am living there. However, the experiences that I have had make up for that regret...barely. Because the ass beating I took to get here was astronomical! And that is not LOL!

I would be making more money in the long run had I not chosen the career path I did....but the experience is pretty much worth it....kinda. I guess I am still on the fence. Everything else was worth it though!!!:D:D:D

I wish I had been smart enough to have bought some Microsoft, Yahoo & Google stock when it first went public.

I regret my choice to skate through HS. I graduated with honors, and I never sought easy classes. But I only applied myself fully to a few classes like physics and my math classes. The rest I just aimed for a B or better to keep the parents off my back. I know I could have been much better...

I regret some of my impulsive self indulgence over my life time. A little restraint from time to time would have a completely different bank account backing it up right now.

i regret droppin out of middle school, i drop out in the 8th grade, my mom took my ass to the recuirtin area and sign'd me away to the usmc i dont regret that.... well at 1st i h8'ed it but i gained a whole new respect for life in the mc,

i got my g.e.d / then even went back to finish HS, the usmc put me thu collage to be come an engineer, i spent alot of time b/h a desk and on shit duty in the mc, bc i got hurt, blew out my knee's...... served 2 yr's in ' includin basic ' and movin around from base to base - tryin to get home - but i was not a bad thing....

i grad HS when i was 21, out of tech school when i was 22 finished collage when i was 26

but this is wat i can say,....... if none of this never happen, i would not be married to a woman who loves me, have a wonderful son, and a job and edu, that will last.....

so i guess in the end when you look back at it, is it really a regret ? im not sure..

i know that i am truly happy with my life and i would not trade it for all the riches in the world.......

I regret knocking my brothers two front teeth out...and many other things. I regret buying this house that I am $250k upside down on. I regret wasting a lot of money over the last 12 years. So many regrets. The list goes on. Live and learn.

I don't regret joining the Army, but I wish I had gone with a different MOS(job). I'm working on correcting that now:) Then again, I'll be able to get a good/well paying job when I do get out... thanks to the experience and skills I've acquired over the past 5 years and 2 MOS's. In the end, it's all good.

I did alot of stupid shit as a kid, but I also learned alot about myself and life in general.:dontknow: I guess I don't really regret anything:D
