Looking at a set of drilled and slotted rotors but not sure but brand to buy. I saw the EBC Sport Slotted and Dimpled around 930 bucks for front and back, Roe Racing Cross Drilled and Slotted or Dimpled and Slotted rotors around 640 bucks for front and back, and Stop Tech Slotted rotors around 580 for front and back. What do you guys think? I will buy pads as well, can't stand the squeal anymore!

jsut for info moparman, I carry the ebc's and for around $800 or so shipped depending on your location

I'll be adding this to MY list Stink! Along with new EBC red pads if you have them.:D

you really don't need to change the rotors to fix the noise/dust issues....... the slotted/dimpled/drilled rotors are nothing more than a "looks" thang.... they aid in nothing more & are expensive. :(

I like the look lol...My EBC greens are up for replacement anyway..i hear the reds are way mo' better:)

I got my cross-drilled front rotors from powerstop. They were $440 shipped to my door. They look awesome. Here are some pics before I installed the rotors. I've included my Blackberry in the picture as a size reference. The tiles that the rotor are sitting on are 12" squares. The bare rotor weighs 41 lbs.

the cross drilled are not nearly as expensive as cross drilled and slotted........does anyone know the weight of one that is not drilled?

They quoted me $880 for a pair, but after talking to the manager they agreed that the price was rediculous and cut it in half.

refer to post #8

I didn't see any on that link that were just cross-drilled. Plus, when I ordered mine, that site didn't have any rotors for 2006 fronts. It appears that now they do, but I still don't see only cross-drilled.

Agreed. I would go with those if I were to do them again.

I have the dimpled and slotted ones, only a few miles on them so far.

Please correct me if I am wrong. But I called EBC about a year ago. EBC does NOT make a red pad for our trucks. Found out after I ordered some and got green instead.

they make and call it a red set of pads, but they do come green, the difference is the actuall compound of the brake pad material, they are actually made in the UK

green pad number is dp61708-04's dp61739 05/06
red pads numberdp71708 and 71739
yellows are 41708 and 41739

Not trying to argue but according to EBC they don't. I have called them a couple of times in the past about it. And I have not heard of one person on this board who says they have them on their truck. After checking their web site I would probably go with yellow anyway.

According to EBC they don't. So if your positive about this then order me a set. 05 QC.

I wondered the same thing...the pads are green, the box says red and that they're for 4X4's....I'm pretty sure they're durable!;)

And they work great! I'm still breaking mine in...but there is no squeal and they are pretty good stoppers! ;)

Thanks Tony!   :congrats:
