I have noticed that my wheels get black pretty quick too.

Last time I had that kind of problem it was because I had a cheap set of brake shoes on my old Toyota.

There are a number of places to get new pads (ceramic). Boomer has 'em. Advance Auto has Friction Master ('04 & '05). I put Morse Ceramic pads on mine from AutoZone.
Made a HUGE difference!:rock:

I will add by saying that since going to the Friction "Apprentice" pads, my brake dust is down about 85% from the stock pads.
Squeaking is down too, but only by about 20%.

There HAS to be a better pad out there.
