My GF and I, her sister and bro-in-law are heading out for Tampa on Sat to celebrate New Years and attend the Outback Bowl. Only going to be in town Saturday night, Sun, Mon, heading back Tues morning. Any suggestions on what I can check out while there for such a short period of time? Where would be the "best" place to ring in the new year? I want to introduce myself to 2007 in a festive way, but I want to be coherent enough to take in the game on Monday. Show me the way!

Not that your GF is probably going to want to go, but someone mentioned SC. Tampa actaully is the biggest city for adult type entertainment, hard to believe, I know. Think I saw it on 60 minutes.

dont forget about THE DALLAS BULL largest country night club in the southeast, the wife and myself will be there on new years eve.

YBOR City by far if your bringing sand to the beach.....

I do not believe so...there was one in Clearwater... but I think it closed...
IF your going to a "club" ...stick with Tampa... this side of the Bay...no good.

Thanks for the all the input, but unfortunately, I will be bringing my own plate to the muffet. I'll have to check out YBOR City. I've heard about it before I think, plus like stated before, we're looking for a place to ring in the new year with a helluvagoodtime. Not looking for the club scene, maybe some live music? Who's in town and who are some good local cover bands? Thanks again! I have been humbled by teh teknology.
