What is the biggest shot these trucks can handle without loosing traction on slicks...?

ZEX
Vprpwr...?

Anyone....

Put the 250 jets in today...will have me well over the 900rwhp mark, but DC will not have time to tune in the "ramp up" shot before the 23rd...so it will go 100% upon activation....so the question is....what happens when you have just hit 2nd gear and 250rwhp of Nos hits....?...

...remember that Mexican drag race with the SRT-10? I'd say you're gonna loose any semblence of traction, and go hella sideways if that all hits at once.

if you have a proper slick you will be ok .. my buddie here has a full drag car runs 6 something diff story obviously.. but he punches like 2 stages of 1500 each.. lol.. :)

I never lost traction on mine with the paxton and 100 shot....so don't know but I'm sure we'll all be watching closely to watch you find out:D Just hold on tight and try not to shart your undies:rock:

Well....those answers were all over the place....:D .....

The run at Famoso will be off a button....going to run 1st gear with no juice after she shifts into 2nd I am going to pull the trigger and hold on like a mother....

DC tuned their viper with this system on Monday....they were very impressed with the direct port....at a 300 shot the viper was running RICH....the fuel rail with this system and 110+ octane is the key....

The only reason we are doing a 250 shot is because I said no to the 300....

They may get the progressive controller in in time but we are talking about what ifs...here....

The problem is the wiring....3 gauges, progessive controller, standard Nitrous components, bottle heater, line lock, purge and moving the split second controller inside the cab....they called in a wiring guy to make a Mil spec. harness and he wanted $6000+ for the job....WTF.....so needless to say I said no thanks....

As for other goodies....we added Grinatelli Solid Core ignition wires (shielded) and a new tensioner pulley and new blower belt...the plugs looked like crap as well...

throttlebody + wires + plugs + belt tune up = 20 rwhp by themself....

Good deal bro! If you are using the button itll be the best for now, like you say hit it in second,BUT have someone video the first run focusing on the back of the truck mainly at the tires and track, come back ,study it for tire spin , if so, then hit the nos a tad later.

good luck bro, you are making me drool badly!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

so the question is....if I can run mid 11's on boost...will 250 get me .6....? and the magic 10.xx.....:dontknow:

If you are right at say 675rwhp that translats to aboutwhat around 800bhp or so?

plus 250 shot ,doubled with FI, makes 500 on 800 makes 1200bhp reduced to 15% which is say.................1080 or so rwhp. you've surely already done this;)

If the fu$ker dont blow I would say ..........................yes definitly:D

Guys you HAVE to realize that taking time off in this range is totally different from taking it off a 13 second truck. I think if everything is PERFECT, he might hit the 10's. I expect him to run the MPH of a 10 second vehicle for sure, it's a matter of take off.

On another note, if he can't tell if the truck is spinning then he shouldn't be racing the damn thing :). That's just my opinion haha.

I personally think you should mount about 150-200lbs in the bed of the truck. Just a big metal bar. I SERIOUSLY doubt you'll lose any ET. You could kick the nitrous in and not have to worry about spinning (as much) and you can launch harder, more than making up for the increase in weight.

leaving the spare and the bed cover on for the 1st run...= 150lbs....

Oh man this is too cool!!!!! One more week till the big day!! I can only imagine how excited you are Mike!!!:D

$6k for a wiring harness?:dontknow: F#ck that!! What a POS that guy is!!

my 2 cents....

I would suggest going with a lower shot and working your way up to 250 shot. My problem is the size of the shot and not knowing how the truck would handle it...

I personally don't want you truck to implode on the first run....
