Leaded gas will "poison" the O2 sensors but it will not be after a few runs. It will take many hundreds of gallons of leaded race fuel run through the the motor to kill the O2 sensors.
We have been doing this in sand and off road cars for years, and have been using heated O2 sensors with fully leaded race fuel. This is a maintenace item just like changing oil.
 
Well at lest Ill get to see what happen to Mike's truck before I go and blow mine up....Im set to spray off throttle. I hope that whole forged internal thing works out for me ;) hehehe
 
Hey Mike....whats your solution for dialing back timing for Nitrous. I know its a pain with the Split sec....not adjustable without a full reprogram. i wanna get away from the VEC but I just cant justify 5 g's for theAEM...im on the fence...can ya help me out?

timing only?? split second, and find a good tuner :rock:
 
My question WAS....If your at the track and you wanna do a NO NITROUS run but dont want to suffer from 6-10 degrees of timing pulled....can u change the split second without tearing into the wiring??

yes you can...I adjust my tune with my laptop when im @ the track. I can add or remove timing, data log or knock and watch my air / fuel. Im a firm believer in the SS box

we are up to a 300 shot but the delay is because we ARE doing a ramp up via the Maximzer II....

As far as letting go....the weak link (this is a guess) will be the wrist pins....:dontknow: ....

I just want to get 10 runs out of her as a tribute to DC performance...when the motor goes we will build it back but with ZERO performance increases...no heads....no cam...no stroke...nada....the reason to spend all this $$ on the direct port is so I can simply up the shot when the motor is built...
