I need the Part No. for the plastic gasket that mounts between the shifter on the tranny. This thing has been the issue to my shifting problems. The plastic gasket from the heat has deformed, and started to sag right in the top gear gates (3rd, 5th, and Rev) making it difficult to shift into those gears. All along I thought I had a bad clutch master cylinder. I let you guys know if this in fact was the issue once I get the new gasket.

05143965AA seal is for he 05, should be the same for the 04.

Nice find, I removed my shifter boot and mines shifts 100X times better too. It was limiting the travel in all forward gears.

When I replaced my OEM Hurst shifter with the B&M, the factory didn't use a plastic gasket between the tranny base and the shifter base. They used black RTV silicone to seal the tranny base against shifter base. The B&M shifter came with a plastic gasket. I used it instead of the RTV. I think the RTV would work to reseal the shifter to the tranny. BTW, mine is a 2006 model year, if that matters any.
