What's the value?

Did you just compare our beautiful trucks to the Aussie GTO?.....Hold hand in front of face, smack 3 times... :tomato: OK we will forgive you THIS time...

To each his own...in my opinion I dont think they should have badged it as a GTO...either way I loved that car and it was bad ass. I will prob buy another at some point.

Don't get me wrong ls motor and a 6 speed what's not to love..but it is no GTO..I just think gm went about the whole thing the wrong way...and not because I'm a Mopar guy because I'm a car guy....

I'd take the drivetrain out of the GTO and put it in something that didn't look like a cavalier, that's the reason I never pulled the trigger on a GTO

I dont really care what its gonna be worth down the road, as long as i cant put 2 big black lines down the road at the push of a pedal, im ok with it for now.

And that's exactly why in 15 yrs, a stock, unmodded, low-mile example will be worth at least double today's value to a collector. People beat the PISS out of these trucks, and add all sorts of Pep Boys goodies to them...

As with any "exotic" (yes, a Ram 1500 with an 8.3L Viper motor/Borg Warner tranny is exotic), low-mile, showroom-clean examples will ALWAYS fetch a premium once the cars reach classic status.

I imagine there will be a few more "sought after" models, such as the CE and NR models, but I'm keeping my eyes peeled for the rarest of the rare.

In 1990, you could score a CHERRY BMW Isetta for about $6k. Today, the same car is worth over $50k. Nobody wanted one then, but they are hen's teeth today...platinum hen's teeth.

It will be harder to find a 10,000 mile, bone-stock SRT10 Ram in 2025 than it is to find Hoffa. And some rich douchebag who had no money in 2013 will be dying for one then. Cha-ching.

Good points. Mine won't be low mileage as it already has almost 74k :( But, I have every stock part for it and could return it to stock in an afternoon. Any mods I do will be completely reversable without jerry riggin.

I plan on being the guy that tells his grandkids about how much fun he had in his SRT10 up until the day he wrapped it around a power pole.

I love driving my truck too much to let it sit, waiting for it to be collectible. Same with guitars. I've got my eyes open for a vintage stratocaster because I want to play it, not hang it on the wall.

I too plan on buying another one some day...

That's what made it cool in my opinion. The car flies under the radar and most people don't expect it to be fast.

Yeah, my truck sits, so what? I drive it like it is meant to be driven when the cover is off of it. :D

I think the value will remain pretty stagnant. Being a previous multiple RX7 owner, which has a good 10 year head start on the SRT and low production numbers as well, their value remains near ours. Mid 20's for a low mileage un-molested unit. I really don't see these commanding more than that for YEARS to come, especially with rising fuel cost.

Although fast forward to me being on my death bed (55yrs); I think a chopped, dropped, shaved Ram SRT resto-rod would look pretty damn sick and pull a pretty penny.

I appreciate that you are able to park the truck through the winter. And my statement obviously doesn't apply to you... I was talking more about people that don't drive / race / beat on / get sideways in / get rubber in 1st - 4th / tow trailers / haul motorcycles / go for top speed runs in their trucks. Your YouTube channel is sufficient evidence that you don't belong to that group. :D

Fo sho!!!!!

Funny story. I take my new-to-me truck into my local dealer for an oil change. The next day I get a hand written letter from the sales manager letting me know that my truck is very special and in high demand, and that I deserve to know the true value of my truck. Offering for me to come back in and sell them my truck!

I am like WTF, I still have paper tags on it, I just bought it last week, lol
I think I know the value of it. I am tempted to call him up and tell for $40,000 he can have it and see what he says :)

Unfortunately, that is a common sales tactic. You can take it back in for a "valuation", but be prepared to leave angry.

LOL. Yeh man. We've all been there. I got 2-3 a week after my first service at the dodge place for about 3 years.

Besides the older guy who was supposedly a Viper tech, all the younger techs said they never seen a SRT10 before, lol

Hopefully I do not have to take it back to the dealer anytime soon.
