...can any kind of polish make em look better? Even when I detail the truck, the wheels just don't look clean. :dontknow:

They have a coating on them that can only be cleaned and not really polished. There are aftermarket rims that are chromed and can be polished though.

That's what I thought! Thanks! Probably about to buy some black 22's with a Chrome lip. Love the black wheels on the Nowhat's silver super tank!

Another option might be the black chrome from permastar. It would killer on a silver truck.

I bought another set for $800.00 and had them powdercoated to a little less shiny than a satin finish.

I'll be powder coating as well!!:D
Try wet sanding the wheels and then polish out ??

Here is a pic of the black chrome. And I agree with mauiSRT/10. Polished is easier to maintain than chrome. But these look awesome.

take some fine polish, like 3m finesse, and maybe with a mothers ball, and slowly polish the clear, thats about the only thing that I have found that seems to help

CDiesel, you need to put your name on the florida GTG list in Panama City! Lot of trucks going!

Strip the coating off the wheels:rock: They look 10 times better;) But you do have to keep the bare aluminum polished up:burnout:

How do you strip the coating off the wheels? I cant get my wheels very shiny either! :banghead: I thought about having them regular chrome or black chrome plated. :dontknow: thought it might be easier to upkeep, and more shiny.

I've had different luck than the others that posted previously. I have had great luck with chrome plated (steel) wheels...I just washed them with Dawn dishsoap and they looked brand new until the day I sold the truck, but the polished aluminum wheels that I have had, have been the worst in upkeep...I had to constantly polish them to keep'em shiny. That was before the great polishing balls came along....lots of work!

my front rims are the nightrunner edition...because I have not cleaned my truck since october and it sits outside. It is nasty:D
