I had a close call a couple days ago. It is kinda wierd how certain events can be the difference between good and bad.

So here is what happened. I had to go to a meeting for work. I took the diesel, but was seriously thinking of taking the srt. Forecast was for rain so I decided not to take it. Thank god now. The weather was better than forecasted. Intermittent showers but never the less it could've been worse.

I was driving to the meeting(6 hrs) and about 3 hrs into the trip a coyote was running along the highway on my side. He came to a turn off and decided to cut across the highway there. Before I even had time to react BAM hit the sumb!@ch doing 70. Smacked with the front driver side axle Knuckle. Didn't have any time to slow down and sure as hell didn't want to swerve with on coming traffic coming and possibly rolling. No damage to old silver. A Quick power wash to clean things up and done. Change out underwear and on my way.

Now if I was driving the srt it probably would've been bad. Could've had a messed up bumper and where it hit I would'nt be surprised if it knocked the front wheel off.

The srt gods were looking out for me that day. With any wreck you think of what if. For instance what would've happened if I was driving the beast. What if I was delayed for 30 seconds somewhere I would've avoided the whole thing. That day Karma was good to me.

glad that things worked out, that would have been bad if you were in the srt.

Glad it did not develop into an accident...regardless what vehicle your in:rock:

And if you would have smoked that coyote in the SRT, that front fascia, valance, and a variety of other parts would have been FUBAR.

Glad it turned out ok.... I am sure the coyote would argue that statement;)

Yeah it was over the coyote before he even knew it. Looked in the rear view mirror and seen him just spinning like crazy off the road.

Whew, you are very lucky to not use srt10 truck. You must have a good luck or something.

Which we are all immensely happy :D

you wouldn't have hit it if you were in the SRT........ you would have been much faster and probably would have already been at the meeting by then.

YOU ALWAYS WONDER ON THE WHAT IF'S.HAD A CLOSE CALL MYSELF ON SUNDAY.WILL POST DETAILS LATER.LETS JUST SAY,IT GOOD WE ZIGGED INSTEAD OF ZAGGED.WOULD HAVE BEEN NASTY.

That's what I miss about owning a Big Old Diesel. :( ..... You can run through a f*ckin heard of buffalo in those things and not get hurt. :p

Or if in the SRT........................The air dam splittler would have channeled the coyote under the fog lights and off to the side of the front tire!!!!!!! LOL ................ Right!!! ;) .........famous Nascar saying, "I'd rather be lucky than good"!!!!:burnout: ...........you had a good day dude!!!!

That's what I was going to say.

It's legal to bumper hunt in Wyoming? They seem to frown upon that here in Iowa. You need to have a license and use a bow or shotgun. Heck, why would I want to freeze my nuts off at 0530 when I can run the bastard over in the comfort of a warm interior listening to the radio :D

Glad to hear there was no damage or injuries (to humans).
