Which Supercharger and why?

does anyone have a link to a turbo set up for our trucks? i was just curious about the pricing and all, i know its going to be a good bit more i would believe.

Heres the kit I offer and options, everything is custom made, so it can be exactly tailored to your needs. It includes EVERYTHING but the motor build including install and tune:

You CANNOT duplicate 1000WHP with the current supercharger kits on the market for less money, not even close. A killer paxton setup with all the upgrades (at least 15K installed and tuned) on a stock heads/cam motor will max out in the 800's. It just depends on your overall power goal, for 600-700whp, this is not the most cost effective setup by any means.

It's not always there when you need it though;)

BTW: I don't think your times have beat Larry's yet Jack:dontknow: :p :p :p

Hey Kyle, I believe you have that backward, go to the timeslip section and check the 1/8 mile numbers for our trucks:rock:  :p :p

BTW RobJon, It looks like you best spent money would be with Justin for 15000.00 INSTALLED AND TUNED, guarantee you will spend that much or more on the superchargers that can not even get close to the horsepower numbers.

1/8 wont count in Macon Jack..;) :D :p

The turbo kit is great but $15K is just the beginning...it doesnt include internal build and based on how many FI trucks have blown here I would not leave the garage without forging..IMO of course.......you can SC and build the engine for around $13K...turbo is going to be $21K+....

I would like to thank you all for your input and knowledge and i will take everyones thought in to consideration.

thanks again

HOW MUCH MONEY DO YOU HAVE?

because you are never going to over come the wieght of the truck...do you want to go fast or do you want to go fast in your SRT10?

i seriously doubt that for 13k you can build a supercharged setup with a built motor that will make over 600 hp... the facts still have to pay for the install the tune the custom heat exchange eliminate belt slip we all know that that is an issue. oh and a fuel systm to support over a 1000 hp thats 3 k alone which is included in the turbo setup. and the fact you can do a very moderate tune with the turbo until you have the funds to do a build and turn it up. 15k is installed and tuned thats a hell of a price! mnost guys thgat have a paxton have way more than 6k in there to get it going .. and the looks dont compare either

I agree with most of what Dom says. I have nearly $18k in my forged build and that did not include the cost of the Roe/Meth/Vec...and am at about 700 rwhp.

But my build was a little unique. I think $15k is a reasonable budget if you are building for long life and performance.

I was going by mine...I am forged with 1500HP rated pistons & rods...I have $13K in the SC & engine build...not counting headers and other mods.....just depends on what you do...and I was not implying 1000HP out of the SC.. about 700HP... yeah....Justin has a heck of a deal on the turbo but $15K does not include internal mods...and even at low boost I would want them..............now if you build and engine like Prof...lot more money..:)

The only part of the fuel system changed on my truck is the injectors that came with the kit...The Roe kit comes with 48LB....stock fuel pump & rail....getting plenty of fuel as the A/F was running in the 9s before tuning.....local builder did the build....I used GM parts which is cheaper than OEM spec parts but it gets the job done.......tuning is part of the Roe package...........you only need custom if you add some other mods like ported heads like I did among other...

I am saying if he does just a basic Roe install and beef up at least the pistons then $13K is possible....good for about 600HP...now if he wants to be the top dog on the timeslip page then he better carry a big purse..;)

i agree hp cost money how fast and how much hp you want cost money x 2

Both SC's are great. Also take the previous warnings, forge it first! It is a good piece of mind that I wish I had.

sure a ROE !   not for the HP after... but for the install joy !!! makes you "live" for a couple of months.... :dontknow: :p :p :p :D

I went with the Roe and Sean's tune. I've got 12,000 miles on it since with no problems. Everybody has different goals, different budgets, different individual personal mechanic skills, and different amounts of discretionary time available to them so I'm not at all saying what I decided on is "the best" but it does suit me. I'd previously intended to go with a normally aspirated build from PBJ with the justification being I'd have performance comparable to forced induction but with better quality/more durable parts than stock. I couldn't do it myself so in addition to big bucks I was also going to have to spend some amount of time away from home to get it taken care of, plus the periodic tweaks on tunes I expected. I went ahead with the Roe and did the installation myself in my garage easily in a couple of days. I am somewhat concerned about the perception of forced induction on stock internals resulting in bad things but a poll on our forum didn't support a higher incidence from FI than N/A. In hopes of adding an additional safety buffer to avoid the boom I had Sean lower my shift points to completing shifts under 5400 rpms on one of my SCT tunes, and I installed water/meoh injection but run the 93 octane tune instead of the 98/meoh tune. The intent of the meoh/water injection is for piston cooling and avoiding detonation for me, not as a power booster. The low end torque is fantastic. I have significantly more power at higher speeds. I can't compare to the turbo or Paxton but I am very pleased. I also take some amount of comfort in knowing I can uninstall or replace the Roe myself instead of having to seek professional assistance. Sean's package is complete, easy to install, and so far absolutely trouble free.

Best to all,
oldguy

i concur, i dont know how many mile i have on mine but its considerable. havent had a problem with it. i have had it off twice since it was installed. got it down to 20 minutes now. very east installation, even roy could do it:D
