I am thinking of getting one for the family and want to hear reviews from owners in here. I have a ps2 and it is a little difficult for my 6 year old. Before anyone gets excited we are very active people and this is something we would do as a family at night instead of tv. During the day we have no time. I have tried just the game that comes with it and I liked it. Sports games are about all I enjoy and the thought of golf boxing tennis in this format sounds good....but is it????

i like the golf, its about all i'm good at, First person shooter type games(to me at least) are really hard. but all in all i like it, got guitar hero metallica too:rock:

Link's Archery, Mario Kart, and Bowling are the best games ever! :D

Bowling comes with the console (Wii Sports). It's the most fun you can have in as a group (with your close on, that is...) :)

Please keep suggestions and comments coming as I am heading out shortly.
Thinking wii motion remotes (2) and nunchucks (2) was going to get wii sports resort as first game???? do I need to buy anything to hook up or is everything included unlike ps2

Yep, make sure you get enough remotes and nunchucks for the whole family... most games can play up to four players. :) Everything else is included (wires, etc).

I lost mine to the kids... :D

The four year old plays Cars every chance he gets and the 11 yr old is pretty much a Pro at Tennis.

Great times for all! All good and since I 'lost' the Wii I am working on a PS3 for Christmas... ;)

Once you go PS3 youll never go back ;)

I highly recommend the WII for any family that wants to play and be active together.

One of my favorite games to watch the boys play is Dance Revolution. I'm not coordinated enough to play the game, but my 9 year old gets all worked up with stomping on the floor pad that is needed for the game.

We love the bowling game. Believe it or not I have woken up with a sore arm after a good night of WII bowling. Something you can not get from the PS3 or Xbox. Same goes for baseball. I could never throw a 92mph fastball when I played little league:) But I can smoke one by the boys now and do a little dance of in your face, until they get ahold of one and slam it out of the park...

The WII is a great gaming unit for the whole family. If you want to entertain more than your thumbs get one and always use the wrist strap:D
