I am thinking about boosting my 04rc with 50k pretty much stock. Have been reading up alot on here and a little worried what alot of ppl say about motor coming apart on me. I put about 150-200 miles aweek on it. Lookig at the f1 kit from jmb and wanting between 580-620 at the wheels. Would like to know who on here is running stock internals with boost. Thanks for your time

Im not sure if Justin has done a install on a non-built engine as of yet. I dont see why it wouldn't work, just keep the boost levels reasonable with a good tune. Get with Chris Jensen for a tune and you are in good hands.

It's all in the tune for sure as well as a reasonable amount of boost so as to not make too much cylinder pressure, in turn lifting the ring lands. All in all I have boosted many engines in my lifetime that lasted on factory internals, but upgrading to Forged is great INSURANCE, but doesn't make it bulletproof.:D

A good tune is super important or this can happen. The metal can bounce around in the cylinder and damage the head and valve as well. On my old engine the ring broke and got up into the manifold and dropped down into the next cylinder and damaged that piston and the head there too.

Running a Roe kit with the 5lb pulley on my stock engine. The kit was installed @ 30k miles and I currently have 62k on it. Definitely find someone who knows how to tune the Viper motor/PCM.

I ran mine and beat on it at the track, with stock internals, for almost two years. The ringlands were in perfect shape. As mentioned above, the tune is key.

Lol!!! That'll happen when you spray a 150 shot into boosted engine with stock internals

I am boosted on a stock block... 30k miles on my truck. Paxton kit.
How's my old kit doing? :)
