who knows corvettes?

thats the starting bid,if it goes for that then its a good deal, but you have to watch out,its has a rebuilt title which will lower the value.it you can get it for 9,000.00 or there about then yes its a good deal.

If it was an 1983 model it'd be worth more! ;) :D

id go to 10 or 12k on that, ive always wanted something like that sticking out of the hood.

1981 was the first year that a computer was used in a Corvette, and in 81 Corvette's were produced with 2 types of paint. Laquer was sprayed at the St Louis plant, and enamel was sprayed at the Bowling Green plant. . .

but this one has been repainted.:dontknow:

I'm assuming that's not the original motor. Being a non-original (motor), it's not going to be worth anything as a collectible Vette.

C3 Corvettes carry the lowest value of all generations anyway. For comparision sake, I bought a '77 model all original in excellent condition 70K miles for $6,900 a few years back.

That particular Corvette should be valued as a hotrod. Looking at his set up, I'd say he probably has 20-25K invested in it. He'll be lucky to get his money back on it, IMO.

I agree...

But, it's a nice looking car. It seems to be (from what is in the pictures) to be clean and well built. :dontknow: :) If you like it, buy it!  It's worth about $9k, if I was bidding on it. ;)

late 60's and early 70's with big block are starting to come up in price from what ive seen lately

Quite dramtically, really.

This ride, as mentioned, is in all probability not a numbers original matching car. You cannot think of a car like this as an investment. But as a head turning, show & shine, weekend street warrior? Kick ass.

We bought a NOM '74 'Ray that we considered doing this to, but it's far better to find a deal like this that someone's taking the hit on.;)

great info...as a play car, ok, as a collectable, worthless....thanks...just looking for something different to run around town

thats my thoughts it would be bad to ride around town on, take to the track and play with a little.

That beast looks like it would be lotsa fun

Speaking of badass GM's. . . I could only dream of building something like this one day!

As long as you are only planning on using it around town it would be okay. Generally the 6-71 style huffers are not that great for long distance driving.
