I'm curious. I've seen a few trucks on these forums with different versions of stripe decals like the old SST trucks. Who makes them and how would they hold up in the South Florida weather?[/B]

I'd be talking to Steve at SLH Motorsports (Texas Yellow Fever), seems he had the handle on all that stuff.

We have a set we've been working on (or should I say screwing around with) for another member that's finally about ready to ship out, after about a month of beating on my guys. They're similar to the Commemorative Edition stripes. If you want the stripes that go down the hood and grill as well we could do that. We're gonna sell these for $200 each and yes they will hold up to the Florida sun, we'll stand behind them with respect to fading etc...

I would get them painted on.Not cheap.A couple grand easy.I was thinking about doing it as well. When I found out what$$$ I was looking at,decided to wait awhile. Not putting stick on's down, may be a good idea for the $$.I would have to have someone put them on.I would be sooo nervous about bubbles, being stright etc.Red ones would look bad ass on your truck.

Get the stripes and then call your local Dodge dealer, they usually have someone they contract with who installs that type of stuff at reasonable prices.

SLH Motorsports mang.... Steve is top notch and offers great products at unreal prices!!

I just verified, we are sending the first set of these out today to Cambridge. Hopefully he can get them on and post some pics to see how they turned out. I'd like to make a public apology to him for it taking a whole month to get tehm shipped, but I guess the first ones always take longer...

I HAD DECALS STRIPES ON MY OLD TRUCK, FADES QUICKLY UNLESS YOU STAY ON TOP OF IT WITH ZAINO OR WAXING. I PREFER PAINT, COST MORE BUT WORTH IT IN THE LONG RUN. DECAL OR PAINT, EITHER WAY IT LOOKS GREAT! GOOD LUCK, POST PICS IF AND WHEN U GET THEM DONE.

If they faded they were made of cheap material. If you use the "right stuff" they are guaranteed for 8 years, wax or not.

PROBALY WAS CHEAP MATERIAL! BUT THAT WAS ALMOST 10 YEARS AGO WHEN I HAD THAT DONE. I AM SURE THAT AS TIME HAS GONE BY THE PRODUCT HAS GOTTEN BETTER. TO EACH THEIR OWN.

There are literally hundreds of colors, then if you add all the special effects we can do, the only limitation is your imagination. We can do flames (real and old style), mutiple colors, aluminum diamondette, mud, stone, jeez I wouldn't even try to provide a list of things we can do with them, all in digital print quality. The $200 price is for a single color we can customize anything you can dream up, but it will be more expensive.
