Who Used to Own a Ford Lighting or Harley Davidson

I had an 04 lightning. Fast, But not fast enough. ( stock to stock ) Cramped cab area.

J.R..

Have to admit that the lightning feels more agile and more of a sporter feel than Quad:dontknow:

Thats because it's a Quad,And a RC comparison.

when I bought mine it was from a private seller and already had a Lower pulley and catback on it. So Thats why it was so quick. Maybe Lightning is winner in the 1/8 mile:dontknow:

That and it weighs 4300 lbs.

I had a 99 ,stock except muffler,365 hp.Then traded it for a 2001 385 hp stock until I went mod-crazy and jumped it to well over 500 hp.It was quicker than my SRT,and handled better. It is smaller inside and not as comfortable.Wouldn't trade my SRT for 10 like it.

both are nice but damn! stock for stock they just cant take that the dodge is faster and when they see a slow srt it is only the driver :dontknow: hell Daniel use to have 2 or 3 lightings and bought a srt 10. i dont care if he buys a harley, lighting or a srt 10 just pleeze god dont let him buy a toyota :p

looks are subjective aren't they. I just don't see how anyone can think any truck looks better than a 10.

Had a 2000 Mustang GT, with "some" work done to it!

Yeah the irony is, he modded the L's to death then sold them and brought a stock srt-10 rc.

Tells you all you need to know there. srt-10 ftw!

Here's my old 2002; you be the judge. Of course all my Ford buddies disagree with you. I have enjoyed both.

That is the best looking one I have seen so far and it does look good. I like your 10 better though.

I had a '99 Lightning that I traded on my Ram in '04.

It was a great truck for the money. 13.70 @ 99.8 stock,
and with a couple of cheap bolt-ons (open air-filter and used 3# pulley = <$250 IIRC) it ran 13.25 @ 103+.

If Ford would have stuck a 6 speed in it, I may have kept it! :burnout: :D

I had an 04L that I traded in on the ram, nothing against it, I just wanted a fast truck with 4 doors. SRT 10 > L in looks, period.

I had the Harley edition. It was a 2003 QC and it was the supercharged version (earlier models were not sc'd). I now have the SRT10 QC. I think in a straight line they are pretty equal until about 60mph, then the SRT feels much faster. The Harley truck was not too great in the corners. Overall I liked the Ford. It was more comfortable as a daily driver. I got more compliments on the Ford if you can believe that. It was the two tone silver and black version. The SRT is more of a sleeper. Most people don't know I have a Viper motor. I have enjoyed both trucks. If you want the fastest and best handling stock truck, the SRT is it.

I owned a 93 L and still own a 02 Lightning. Each of my trucks have it's own personalities. The 454SS very loud, old, gas pedal like an on /off switch but very fun ,shredding and fishtailing from at 50mph roll. 02 Lightning more comfortable ride, suspension to handle the extra power, every available mod, built motor, upgraded blower. SRT cruise's very nice, plenty of power and towing capabilties and all the bells and whistles. I want to keep it reliable as in no major mods.
