I've been debating this for like 2 years with myself over what I want to do...Permastar coat my rims, Powdercoat my rims black (probably satin), or just buy some aftermarket rims (BLANG it out yo!)...

It's a tough decision and I still need to save up to do any of it...but I wanted to get your inputs.

BTW...just in case you forgot. She's a RED lowered QC with one really super kewl dude that misses driving her!

I am going to say Chrome! I will see if I can upload the "Bling:D " on mine! Put a poll up for it.

Permastar. That is what I was going to do until I got the great deal on the wheels I have.

Bill.

If I had it to do ever again, I would have Permachromed the stockers! Especially after seeing a set like that in person!

Don't get me wrong, I like the way my wheels look on my truck, but I am going to save up and have them permachromed too! ;)

Another vote for Permastar. It's going to be a winter project.

I'm too big a fan of the stockers, I vote to spend your money elsewhere and leave them be....

Polished PermaStar FTW!! That's going to be my next mod.. Well, they will be used back and forth with the Liquid Metals depending on the look I want that week.

Permastar without a doubt. I would do it to mine if I weren't keeping it stock :D It has a great warranty (and the people are honest and reliable to work with).

www.permastar.com

Look at picture #1-9 for black chrome on a hummer ....

Since you need to "save up for it" i'd say don't do it! leave them stock and put the money in a CD or savings account.

When is someone gonna ban this guy?????????????? ^^^^^^^^^^^^ Scroll UP :dontknow: :dontknow: :dontknow:

There is absolutely no comparison when looking at chrome vs Permastar. The greatest advantage to Permastar is that it will not show scratches like chrome. Yes they advertise that it will not oxidixe, fade and flake. But if you are looking for a wheel that will stand the test of time, and all the cleanings, Permastar is hands down the winner. I think that chrome shows small scratches just as bad as black paint, and if you wash your vehicle often, those scratches show more and more in direct sunlight. However, Permastar is a urethane with a clear coat, which will look newer, longer. $185/wheel plus shipping.

Yea,man if you got to save up for them I would just put your money else where that needs more attention, more power. Then get the permastar

Done with the power....Im not broke y'all. I just dont have the money to freely spend without considering it first....

BTW...who is wifey talking about???
