they just don't flow any better than your stockers....
So why make them if there isn't any gain- so Gibson isn't saying thats there is performance gain? I have looked them up on line but i can only find people selling them and not giving a accurate or any testimonial at all.

they are for sound and looks....just like a CAI....

The only problem I have with mine is the ceramic coating is allowing rust through. Granted my truck sits a lot and the humidity in MS. is horrific at best, but I have rust coming through especially on the flanges.

They have small primarys compared to the others on the market;)

Mine have held up well and I'm happy with em... I got mine early on when our choices were the Bellangers and the Gibson shorties which I got on a GB for like $600 shipped for the coated version when Belangers were like $1700 at the time and the argument as to how much of a help headers are was argued about then as it is now!! Sure you'll make more torque with the long tubes and the Bassani's have since come along and are a better option as far as shorties go but the Gibsons have served me and others well as far as sound and working in conjunction with other mods to make more power. Good luck...

I also have the Gibson shorty headers. I put them on in early 04, And they are holding up fine. Gibson was pretty much the only option at that time, Bassani was still in development. My only issue was heat. I had to get custom heat shields, Mind you my headers are not coated. IMO Not much performance gain,But a little better sound, And i think they look better than stock. If i replace them it will be with long tubes.

Craig, JR and Marc said it well. Gibson was the first company to come out with them. We had no choices back in 04. Hell other than magnaflow, (summer 04) every mod took forever to come out. Lots of guys were making their own CAI. K & N didnt come out till 05.
