After my son's birthday party I took a little evening ride in the truck.....while driving I kept thinking something was different...then it dawned on me...no popping and backfiring..WTF???...:dontknow: ...truck seems to be running great but absolutely no popping when I let off the gas....:dontknow:

It may be running lean...be very careful...what is your air/fuel gauge telling you?

Which VEC card are you running?

Ya, I remember Joe of PBJ asking me how much, if any pop/backfire I wanted after he tuned my truck. I didnt know he could do that but it sounds like its in the a/f or timing.

I have an AEM wide band A/F gauge...all seems normal as far as A/F...just odd it not backfiring...was almost annoying before now it is completely gone..:dontknow:

Found problem.....paid too much attention to the A/F gauge worrying about a lean condition with the blower....just noticed the boost gauge staying on "0".........tube for the boost gauge had blown off the T-valve... ...........popping is back...

Popping is unused fuel in the exhaust system...if it usually pops and stops...there is not as much fuel in the exhaust system, i.e. it is running leaner.

Lean is very dangerous...soooooo happy you found the problem.
