I read this on one of the links: to a Lexus IS forum with a few Audi guys, made me laugh.

The Viper is the biggest engine they could get shoved into the lightest car they could put together and still maintain structural ridgity. Its an in your face, kick your ass, kill your father, kidnap your mother, sew your dog's and cat's ass together, and take your sister out for a nice lobster dinner and not call her back the next day thrill ride. It is a pure track machine with nothing to save your ass when you get stupid with it, and safety of the passengers (because you don't drive this thing, you just hold on for the ride) was a marginal after thought. I wouldn't be surprised if they would have forgone seatbelts had it not been for that whole Federal safety stuff.

we must be honest on that part gentlemen... remember due gas prices, emission controls , taxes ! and.. common sense ? :dontknow: ... a 8.3 .. 8.4 liter engine is totaly out of the question in europe.... Porsches are regarded heavy engined with them 3.6 liters... my BMW with V8 4.8 liter is already regarded exagerated as for spoiled rich guys...

let's say europe makes good engines as the BMW V10 5 liter , giving 500+ HP for many,many years without troubles and consuming 2/3 ? :dontknow:
I can push my BMW all day his 400 HP at less then 1/2 consumption of the truck....

Ok, question of design and what's people use to ... only concern of me is the fact that so many here are that afraid of vipers with 50 Kmiles... as of 100 kmiles is unthinkable... sorry, a BMW is just good out of break-in at 50 kmiles... 100 kmiles are sold "as new".... :dontknow: :dontknow: :dontknow:
