Why so many 2005 SRT10s available?

Hmm good gouge onthe truck.... So, on a real note, How many of these trucks have problems with shit breaking on them or poor quality work in it? Not trying to say that the Lightning is perfect, but every company has lemons.... The only issue I had on my L after putting about 100 miles on it was the damn power steering pump went out. How about you guys...?

Build quality hasnt been much of an issue but OEM engineering/parts has been suspect in a few areas.

Edit - The crank/balancer bolt on all Gen3 Viper engines were not torqued correctly for awhile. This was also true for the Viper as well.

In the RC, the clutch and master/slave units are prone to failure. The shifter isnt that great.....the stereo's in the 04/05's are known to be flaky and the nav units are weak.

In the QC's, the trans is the weak link and will start to fail as soon as you add 50 or more hp.

There may be a few more complaints here and there but would guess that these are the common issues.

CD player!!! Mine ate 6 CD's after 2200 miles, and there are many others that have had issues.

ONLY problem ive' had after 7,000 miles..had throttle posistion sensor replaced! as far as fit and finish, outstanding...best quality vehicle ive' owned!

'05 RC, 14500 miles-trouble free. Smooth engine and no additional oil between changes, can't say that about my '01 vette.

My all time favorite ride.

My '05 QC has always been a dealer's vehicle. A dealer drove it in Texas until May of '06 and then tried to retail it. After having no luck, they sold it at an auction and I eventually picked it up. I've put 700 miles on it, so it's sitting at 5,400 now. I haven't had anything wrong with this truck, cosmetic or otherwise. It's a great ride!

There is a chance I won't be keeping it if some of my other cars don't sell - And this isn't exactly the best time of year to sell some of my collector cars. I'm completely out of space, and selling the truck I inherited when my father passed away isn't going to happen. The SRT-10 kicks its rear, but the sentimental value is on my dad's ride.

I'd let mine go for just under $31K but I'd sure miss the thing!!
