Wider Rear Tires (Much Wider)

This is simple and relativly easy to do, just relocate the springs rear mount to the inside of the frame rail, then also the front, a new braket will have to be fabbed for the front side, taking into consideration the fuel tank onthe drivers side,
then mini tubs can be fabbed into the bed, you can have the stock 22's widened but the best result would be going to a 20 and have it widened.

and yes movin the springs is easy, for anyone with common mechanical sense and a little "real" experience and not just book learning, so find an ol school tool guy, its no problem

Love your approach...but I am still wondering if the two inches that Mopower got would be enough to give that "fat boy" tire look? Pics please.........and are there Viper rims that look just like ours that are 20 inch? or are they smaller?

I will try and shoot some pics today.

Please do! So you've got 22"x11-1/2"? I'm curious too if this enough to achieve the steamroller look! :dontknow:

Stinkeroni, you make it sound so easy!

Maybe we can get Boomer to chime in here...I will send him the thread.

So to my understanding it would be ideal to have 20" rims resized for wider tires?
to keep "symmetry" wouldn't you want to have 22"s all around? instead of say 20"s
in teh rear and 22"s in the front? or even 20"s all around? in that case wouldn't
people mistake our trucks to be Rumble bees? hell, i don't mind that.. just more
sore ass ricers  but i personally like the 22" look

I'm with ya Sharpi. I'd want 22's @ all four corners.
