I don't know if this is normal but it's happened 3 times now.

When I start my truck after sitting for a day. I will get a squelling sound and the voltmeter is reading low voltage with the check gauges light on. all three times when it has happened i've jumped out to see what is stuck. And all three times it stops before I can see it.

I'm thinking its the alternator but would a cold blower do this?

I'm off the the autoparts store in a min when I get back I'll be pulling the belt and checking the blower and the acc.............

Sorry for seeming to complain all the time but, I'm in panic mode.

Thanks Friends!
Jay

its the belt ike, spray water in the radiator and you will see. you might want to change the belt out. if you have already the tensioner may be getting weak. every time it rained and the truck was in the yard it would squeal some until the water got slung off.

Yep Eddie the belt was changed and ever since when it comes off boost the belt would squeek.

Ok so I'll replace the belt and c/k the tensioner.

i know what your talking about, cut off theac and try it and see if you hear it.
