will i feel a differce with volant cai?

Come on Patrick...tell us how you really feel about the stock sound of an SRT 10???

I tried Mopar long tube headers thru the stock muffler with a full cat delete...you think the stock sound was bad...you should have heard that mess!

I feel a considerable difference with the Volant. I've removed it twice just to make sure it wasn't my imagination. Currently I am on the stock box and the truck is not as responsive.

For example with the Volant on I could spin when I floor it at 35-40 mph. My truck doesn't do that with the stock box. Coincidence? Maybe! But I like to think that the Volant was a cheap investment with a big return. I'd like to put a drop-in filter just to see if it feels the same. The sound and especially the top-end with the Volant is awesome. The ram-air looks cool but probably doesn't have much function to it, though.

There is a difference between empirical data and mother-in-law research.

I just put on Boomer's CAI. Feels slower off the start but faster when punching it to pass. I have also put in the black honeycomb grille and removed the plastic behind it so more air can flow right into the engine compartment.

It seems the CAI would be more beneficial in conjunction with Cat Delete MIds, Cat Back, and the PCM Stage 2 flash. Which I have coming from Boomer! :D On its own, I agree with the majority, that there is not much to be gained but sound and looks.

well i just wanna know if ill feel it under accelration

it's hard to feel a 20hp increase on a 5,000+ lb truck! I did not feel a difference w/ magnaflow and K&N......but did w/ LT headers and catless midpipes. Midpipes might be more bang for your buck unless you want to add NItrous!!!!

I put the KN aircharger on my truck a few wks ago, and I think its worth it. The sound alone when you punch it is great, not only does it sound great, but it scares the crap outa people when you bring them for rides!
I trimmed the plastic sheild behind the grill to alow air to go straight into the KN airbox. When the weather is cool, my truck rips. EASILY you can tell the difference. I was never able to spin my tires in second like I am able to now. Do it.... DOO IT!

That's exactly the point I was trying to make.

I was trying to document every performance mod with a dyno to be sure that I knew what the difference was...I gave up when I could not get down for a dyno...I had to change something fast to get rid of the sound...
