Will it work old v-10 to new?

i have a good friend here that owns a 1998 dodge ram 2500 with a iron 8.0L v10 in it and he was asking me and i did not know so i thought one of you all mite know if a newer v-10 viper motor will bolt up in place of the iron one to his 1998 ram ? thanks for the info help....
