This was such a great occasion that I though it deserved its own thread....:

Roy and his son Trey just left and are on there way to see OCB in the morning...

I have to tell you all something.... Roy is one of the most spiritually magnanimous guys you'll ever meet. We had an awesome time just enjoying each others company. Lynette was just remarking about what genuinely nice people both Roy and Trey are...... We all got along great. And unless I'm a lousy judge of human nature I think everyone shared a truly sweet vibe. Even Willow had fun....

He also sprung for a very nice meal..... Thanks again, bro.

Roy has such a pleasant and inclusive spirit.... I really got off on the time we spent together. And of course we smoked the good stuff..... cigars that is....

God bless Roy and Trey and protect them on their journey....

So the beer and cigar summit meeting went well. Good to hear.:congrats:
 
That is awesome. Roy and I have a meeting scheduled for later this year. I am counting the days till I get that pleasure. I have had the feeling for a few years that meeting him would change my life. In fact it already did... Roy introduced me to VTCOA.

Funny thing is that your name came up in conversation, Dale....

Roy and I were discussing the forum and certain individuals who just haven't seemed to release their anger towards other specific members. Clint's name came up. Roy said that although his extended hand of friendship towards Chub had not produced the intended peaceful resolution, that Clint had still offered to send whatever money was intended to help you during that time.

Maybe you can give both Roy and me the key to making peace with Flchub. He can be a real tough nut to crack.

Sent Roy and Trey off on their way to visit with the Yettie and Denise. Had a great time visiting with them. But I do have to bitch about one thing, the visit was way too short.
 
Hey, no bitching allowed OC, at least you got to meet him! Glad you guys had a good time with him. I hope he has a safe trip. I had no idea he was even going to be out here. Damn!
 
I wish I could say that I had some special relationship with Clint. The truth is, his acts of kindness were truly of his own volition. He is a member that I neither have a good or bad report with. Maybe cancer is truly the universal leveling field. Everyone is touched by cancer in some way.

I guess it just goes to prove that while some appearances come off as one way, there is a different story on the next layer in.

May we all find peace and love in our hearts when the burden to reach out to others is placed upon us.

Dale, the essence of it was (frankly) that Clint contacted Roy and in some similar words said this: "Roy, I still hate yer fkn guts, but whatever you need for Dale, I'll be there for him".....

This reveals that there is certainly a spark in ALL of US that moves us to acts of compassion and selflessness in times of great need......

Thank God for that....

Clint will bend over backwards for some that he feels mutual trust and friendship.... but, after he's spooked, you can pretty much count on not being able to reconcile with him. :eek: :( :eek: It's just the way he is...


NOW! :rock: Let's hear more about the meeting of the "Unstoppable Object" and the "Immovable Force". :D

No such phenomenon was experienced......

It is always best to employ grace and discretion in order to enjoy what one can in the company of friends... Roy is a lovely man. We had a great time just "being" together....

And btw it's the "Unstoppable Force and the Immovable Object", my son...

I've been practicing "Over the Rainbow". I think that will be my first. Thanks D. Glad your doin' ok. Hope Lynette is back to 100% as well. Feelin' the Love from The Left Coast tonight!.:) Right back atcha.
 
Just one more thing.....

Roy's son, Trey is one of the nicest people that you'll ever want to meet. He's kind hearted, intelligent, respectful, humble and loves his kids more than anything in the world....

Roy should be very proud...... for this is the mark of a good man.... he replicates himself.
