Gee Tim. Been away and just saw this. We just lost a close family member, one of our goldens, that got out and got struck by a car. I can't tell you how hard this was on our whole family. My thoughts and prayers are for Willow's speedy recovery.
Oh, no............. That's just the worst........... I'm so sorry Craig.......

I know how much you must love your animals............It's devastating..... God bless you all and give peace to your hearts somehow...... This is so hard.
My prayer has always been that our families AND our animals are waiting for us all when we finally go home......
Thanks for the thoughts and prayers....... They must in fact be working.
Lynette and I went to the hospital tonight to visit Willow.
She was very alert and hardly jaundicied at all..... Lynette sez yesterday Willow was still pretty yellow. But not tonite... She was nicely pink in her flesh and gums... Her eyes looked excellent to me.....
She was able to eat some boiled chicken and chicken broth that we brought for her..... (All OKd by the doctor, of course) She even got to enjoy her favorite treats......Halls Honey Lemon cough drops..... (Doc said it was fine).
Lynette sez that Doc Grady calls Willow "kid"...like I do..... He's a real dog guy.... He's always lookin at Will and say shit like "This dog is just so pretty...." then he gently grabs her around the muzzle and plants a wet one on her .... Same kinda shit I do.....
I don't know how to spell Billyrubin and I don't have a medical dictionary.... But her "Billy" numbers were bad when she came in ...about 12... This morning, they'd gone from 12 down to 4... I understand they're s'posed to be about zero....
Doc sez if she looks good after her tests in the AM, that maybe she can go home tomorrow.... He sez he is really blown away by the rapid recuperation and the amazing rebound of this animal.... He said that usually they need a few days to start feeling better. But Willow is alert, energetic and acts as if she really had no surgery... The doc sez it's really encouraging.
But please keep her in your prayers if it's not too much trouble......
We're still waiting on the labs results.......
Thanks alot to everyone of you who have, in whatever way you could, supported us in this situation......
God bless you all.........
