Hehehehheeehe he said Play with it LOLOLOLOL

Had it installed on a "Lesser" laptop. Not something you want ona machine that is only meets the minimum requirements.

It is very visually stimulating, but it is a memory/CPU hog!

Make sure you have a good video card, plenty (I would recommend 2 gb) of memory and at least 3.2gb processor!

Big processor! Duo Core work OK you think?

Hey Shawn :) ,

Vista...hmm, well, I was on the MS Test team and had Vista since March of 06. Well, after almost a year of use, If I had to 'sum it up' I would say it is more of an OS in a multi-user environment. (family's, etc..)

They made navigating through different profiles an important task on the design, while trying to not make it too complicated. Adding the 'search' button everywhere including the control panel seems very repetitious sometimes. Does it require more (in hardware terms)? Yup, as the graphics has increased to give you the 'mac' bells and whistles (which can be turned off); not forgetting the Music upgrades that have been integrated for mp3's and other music formats.

Any changes in the networking environment? Nope.

I used a dual processor 3.2's @ home w/ 4 gigs of ram and don't have a problem running the OS , but your duo-core should work fine :D

"Geek", whats that supposed to mean ?!?!?! :D :D

Thanks Patrick  ...I think I'll try it on my fire breather before I install it on the others. Sounds a little gimmicky for work though, more about 3D than real OS improvments. :dontknow:

We just installed it for a customer. There are some nice changes.

Vista Basic will run well on on a base computer with 1GB of memory.

If you want to use premium, get a nice 256MB DX9 video card or faster. ATI Radeon X1650 has come a long way.

3GB of memory or more seems to be the way to go if you want to run all out.

For the little more in cost, go with Intel Core2 cpu. Extremely fast for the price.

Here's a good review:
