For us guys that live in a colder climate. I would like you guys to tell us what all you have done to winterize your trucks for winter storage.:marchmellow: :marchmellow: :marchmellow:

Here's what I do. I drain half the fluid in the engine, transmission and differential and replace that fluid with anti-freeze. I then drive it around for a while to get everything up to operating temperature and then park them in the garage for the winter. I do have a heated garage but I like knowing that the fluids won’t freeze with the mix of anti-freeze in them. Then, when spring/summer comes, I drain all the fluids and replace with fresh fluids.

Works for me.

I've turned the passenger seat one on to see how long it would take the wife to say something :D

I use mine even in the summer. Helps with lower back muscle spasm's. Also when you have constipation!

I shimmy mine over to one side of the garage ,so my wife can park in the garage, and leave it ready for a cold, dry street, day off, so i can take it up and wash it!!!! always on the ready to drive. havn't even covered it yet! bottle needs filling

You truly can't be serious???? Oil and grease don't freeze bud, they just thicken based on the value. You can't possibly get all the antifreeze out unless you drain and replace multiple times. Any left over antifreeze.....well, I can't go on. To each his own. Good luck.

On Both of mine I put stabil in with a 1/4 tank, cover, on jackstands, and a c-Tec for the batteries.

That's about it, but the jackstands are a pain in the ass so I just start it once a month, let it come up to temp, push all the button and controls and roll it around a bit for the tires. change all the fluids in the spring.

This is the worst advice ive ever read on this forum

I thought I'd see what everyone dose for winterizing.

1. I cleaned up the Truck
2. Change the oil in the motor
3. Check the Antifreeze
4. Fill tank with fuel and add can Sea Foam
5. Charged the Battery
6. Aired up the tires
7. Garage Keeped with cover on
8. I start it up once a month and bring the motor up to operating temp and recharge the battery.

I don't have mine any longer, but I just drove it every day the roads were clear :D

It is ,after all, just a truck, albeit a fast and classy truck

Sometimes I was fortunate enough to get it clean and cover it for a few days.Mostly it just set in the back yard ,un-covered.

Here's the only bit of winter mine will see. Did a bit of cleaning in the garage and brought the sled out.

But stabalizer, jackstands, flush fluids, cover, take battery inside and start it every month and a half or so.

Oh, and imagine parking your ten and driving a pos silverado all winter. :hahaha:
