I replaced my factory nav unit w/ a Kenwood flip out radio. After installing my N2O at Christmas, the placement of the arming switch, remote bottle opener & purge kit seems a little out of the way. Does anyone have the wiring digram to reuse the buttons behind the steering wheel so I can tap into them for better access for my nitrous being that they do not control the new radio? Any help or links are greatly appreciated:rock:

i yhink you can buy a wiring harness that will make it work so you dont have to cut the wires

not sure were you get them but i have one my self

Edit note: I want to use the buttons for the nitrous not the radio.

get a matco test light. the led one that hooks up to positive and ground both and tells you whether you are touching positive and ground. its gonna take some time but you should be able to tell what wires are to which part of each swith and with that test light you will not short or blow and fuses while you are trying to figure it out. the power should already be on to those switches when you turn on the key. you should be able to take all the wires that light up green and touch one by one while engaging the steering wheel switches and when it lights up red there is the positive for your application. does that make sense? call me and i will help further if you want.

How much do you want for the nav unit that you removed?\\PM me with a $

That is a really sick idea i might add, If i ever swap my radio, I might just think of doing something like this myself....

But like the man said, When you look at the wires coming out from the underneath of your steering column, your going to be able to Eliminate half of them right off the bat, because most of them will be really thick wires for the Horn, and Airbag, Etc.
You probably looking for the Thinnest gauge wires in the entire bundle, Really shouldn't be that difficult.
