We have 3 wires coming into the back of our interior mirrors. Facing the back of the mirror the one on the left is the hot wire. Does anyone know which of the other two are the ground. I only have a light, no meter, to determine the hot wire. I am wiring up my radar detector so as not to have wires hanging all over the place. Thanks in advance.

Where are you grounding your test light? Known good ground? Remove it from that ground and try your other two wires as a ground. If light works when you probe known power 12v then you know you got her. If not you'll have to use the metal framework inside console.

Thanks for all the help. Dumb me, just held the positive probe to the hot wire and found the ground by touching the other probe to the other 2 wires. By the way, at least on my truck, there is one hot lead and 2 ground leads. :dontknow: Working perfectly now. Thanks
