Worst day of my life......

Well the day finally happened. The girl i have been dating for almost 3yrs dropped a bomb on me. We talked for like four hours last night. However I had to be the bad guy and make the decision for her. Its over and I am deeply sadden. I feel like a peice of me is missing. She was the love of my life. Thanks for letting vent........................
 
Sorry to hear that. But, there is always a bright side to these things, it just takes time to see it. Think about all that trim you can pick up in the truck now.
 
It's always hard, brother. If it doesn't hurt then it wasn't love. That's the jist of it, really. I'm sorry you're going through this. Unfortunately the only real cure is time. If you ever need to talk to anyone, I'm here for you. I know I haven't been the most civil or active person here but none-the-less I am here. This really is a shame. At least you still have the truck! :dontknow:
 
As the saying goes, Shit Happens. I know, not much help, but that's life also.

Just thank god that you were not married with kids. That's worse. I know, still not helping, Sorry.

Believe me, I was married once before and thought my life was over when we split up. I survived and was better off because of it. One of two things is going to happen. You will both find out what you lost and get back together, or you will find someone even better. It does happen.

Remember that you have a lot of brothers here to help you out if necessary. Just let us know.

Chance, the best thing is ya'll talked it over.

Its gonna hurt for awhile , but you did what you think is best for the both of you.

Things could change later, you never know, at least it wasnt a nasty deal.

she will be apart of your life for as long as you remember the good times, dont dwelve on the bad.

Life is still good brother, jsut unzip, hangit out, cruise down the sidewalk and see what bites!:D Or become a truck driver, and watch for hooter shots!

One thing I promise is each day will be a little but easier than the day before....Get up take a hot shower and get on with your day....keep busy....hit the gym...drive the truck....hit some golf balls at the range....skip the booze for a while and you will be good....

Man that really sucks…There’s nothing anybody can say that will make you feel better.... Only time will do that. You got to write it off as one of life’s many experiences and become a better person because of it. Many of us have been through it before it hurts but life goes on. Better times are coming.

Thanks for all the support. I am just mentaly, physically, and emotionaly drained. I cant work or eat. I just sleep all day. Sleep is the only way for me to escape for now. Everything was going so well, no major problems at all. Basically gave me it not u its me crap. We talked it out for a bit, didnt really argue about the situation. She told me she loved me and that she can see her self growing old with me and marring me. but She said she needed time, time to make sure I am the one. What ever the hell that is suppose to mean. I am just tore up. Thanks again for the support. Its nice to know that I have people to talk too.

Eventually, you are left with this little black chunk of coal. THEN is when (you LEAST expect it) the right girl comes along... Funny how life works... :rolleyes:

Now, I have been where you are... The whole "I need time and space' thing (really means, "I want to fuck around for a while, because I haven't had a chance to in 3 years"...). You will find, as you get older, that IS NOT what you want for a soul-mate (or wife, girlfriend, whatever)...

Very well said.I found a great women after going through the exact same scenario. 11 years ago.I was so hurt and lost 30 + lbs at the time.(wish I could now).
Better times are ahead.Please remember we all here have had similiar experiences and it will make you a more wise person.

Go focus on things you like doing and you will find after a while the pain WILL subside.Take care and remember we are all here for you. Bill

Life is not fair, at least that is what I sometimes think. And sometimes it is not fair.

I sometimes don't know my role is, or what's best for me in the long term.
I do know that we are watched over and taken care of when we need help.
